Confused

Its asking to me to set it equal to the value of the input field.

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
    <title>Document</title>
</head>
<body>
    <h2 class="profile-name">Treasure Porth</h2>
    <p class="profile-text">I am a web developer!</p>

    <label>Change name:<input id="name-input" type="text"></label>
    <button>Change</button>

    <script
    src="jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js
$('button').click(function() {
  // Write code here
  const newName = $('#name-input').val();
  $('.profile-name') = newName.text();
});

Can you elaborate more on your confusion? Essentially the users inputs something, and cons newName sets newName to the value submitted in the input field. In this case, it starts off stating that the name of the Developer is Treasure Porth, but you want to change that to possibly yourself. So you input your own name, hit submit, then it should say "Keytron Brown" "I am a web developer". Assuming you put Keytron Brown into the input field.

This should work:

$('button').click(function() {
  // Write code here
  const newName = $('#name-input').val();
  $('.profile-name').text(newName);
});
