I don't understand what while loops are used for or when to put repeat. Nor do I understand the reason why he will sometimes put a += or < symbol with 1. Can someone please explain all of this to me.

whileloops. I never had to use them until recently, and the only reason I used them was because I was trying to squeeze every little bit of performance of of my program as possible (whileloops are just a bit faster thenforloops).
