Having a hard time including what I've learned on previous lessons. Any next steps or clarification?

7,624 PointsYou're almost there. Have a few things. You've already declared the variables, so in the if statement you only need the variable names. Also, the else statement doesn't need logic. It will return the second alert for any other result other than a>b. If you want more logic, you would need to make it an "else if" instead of just "else".
Lastly, alert should not be set to anything. It should just be alert("alert something"), as this is built in method that you are accessing.
So the final code should look something like this:
if (a > b) {
alert('a is greater than b');
}
else {
alert('a is not greater than b');
}
