Connecting Airtable database to iOS app

Hi I'm wondering what the best course or courses would be to help me understand how I can connect a previously created Airtable database to a new iOS app that I'm building, I"m assuming I need to use the Airtable API? Any guidance would be helpful, thanks!

Looks like you'll be using JSON with the Airtable API.

Do you have any prior experience writing apps for iOS? Are you planning to write the app in Xcode? Will you be using Swift?
