console mac - tab button !

I wanted to do tab in console and I know that for mac, it is 'f7 + control' is tab. However, it didn't work for me . is there any one who knows how to do this bit ?

Hey, check this out http://osxdaily.com/2014/08/05/toggle-tab-window-navigation-mac-os-x-keystroke/ Tab key on mac is control + f7 so maybe it is about ordering when to press buttons. Hope it helps.
