Hi there,
First of all one of the best E-learning sites I have experienced!! Great work.
I am a third year degree student and planning to construct an interactive web page for my professional project. The fundamental idea is for users to build profiles to promote their services with the intention of acquiring more business. I am currently trying to put together a site-map to help communicate my business plan more effectively.
Could you please offer some advise on the best way to go about this and also any software suggestions you may have for construction?
Thanks for your time

39,199 PointsSitemaps usually serve to function, one tell search engines such as Google about every page on your site using XML. You can create an XML sitemap here http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
Some sites create a sitemap webpage as a kind of table of contents for their site. Just as a table of contents doesn't necessarily list every section of a book a sitemap page doesn't have to list every page of your site for a visitor to click on. Just list the majors sections of your site.

1,119 PointsThanks for the prompt response. I think I may have wrote down the wrong terminology initial tho, rather than a sitemap I was thinking of a site schematic - to better communicate my idea to other designers, coders and assist with the development process of my web page.

Maybe try looking into Mind Mapping software to express your ideas.

5,795 PointsThanks James for the workflowy link. Minus the lack of color I crave, it is perfect for organizing the four billion projects I have laid out to do this year.

39,199 Points@Stephanie - I'm a huge workflowy addict, at last check, if I exported my entire workflowy it would be over 6,000 lines long. The genius of workflowy is that it is simple to use, it only takes seconds to update it.
Syntax highlighting with code does make it easier to read but that's the only place I miss color.
