Continue task -> Python Basic

Dear reader, I run the followig code in python shell and it runs perfectly:

items = [1,2,3,4,5,6,7] def loopy(items): for item in items: if item == 1: continue print(item)

loopy(items)

While the attached task code gives me always an error

breaks.py
def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
        if item == "a":
          continue
          print(item)

Hey Ion,

I see two problems with your code. Firstly you should check the item's index 0 and secondly you have to print the other items in an else block. Right now you're printing the item when the item is "a".

The working code should look like this:

def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
        if item[0] == "a":
          continue
        else:
          print(item)

Good luck! :)
