CSS

Continue to Javascript or master CSS basics first?

Hi all,

I'm following the Front-end track and just finished the CSS basics part. Now I'm wondering whether to continue with the track (start javascript) or master the css basics first. I don't want to lose the momentum of learning, but on the other hand I want to make sure that my knowledge of CSS is sufficient.

I do understand CSS fairly well, but it feels like I should create, for example, a personal portfolio. Just for real understanding.

Some advice would be cool. Best,

Pieter

Building a portfolio site would be a great thing to do before you learn JavaScript. Once you have completed the portfolio site you can take some of the JavaScript courses and then revisit your portfolio site to add JavaScript functionality. This setup is nice because you will already have a project that you can apply JavaScript to as you learn it.

Hi Colin,

Ha, thanks! I'm working on it as we speak. Already feels like the right direction. Just browsing through all of the previous tutorials and trying to get something together.

Good luck Pieter!
