Continuing a loop if an index is equal to a value

Sorry for the noob question, I am having trouble with one of the quiz questions. I cant seem to find a way to bypass index 0 if it contains the string "a" in a loop. I want to do this with an if statement if possible...

Thanks

You can treat a string like a list. so to check a particular index on string, simply use string[index].

def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        if item[0]=='a':
            continue
        else:
            print(item)
