How can I continue on a track to the next segment if I am skipping some of the quizzes and code challenges? I started the "web Design" track, finished all of the "How to Make a Website" except some of the quizzes and code challenges. How do I go on to "HTML" or "CSS Foundations", etc.?

4,397 PointsAs far as I am aware, I believe you would either have to complete the unfinished quizzes & code challenges, or search for the "HTML" or "CSS Foundations" courses in the library and start them from there.

Courses Plus Student 6,818 PointsWhat Thomas mentioned is correct, it is recommended however to complete all quizzes and code challenge's to review the content you have learned and to make sure you understand it well enough so that you won't forget it.
If you do not wish to complete these challenges, you can go in the library to handpick what you would like to learn. Once again i strongly suggest you complete them.

3,699 PointsThe code challenges and quizzes are relatively straightforward and provided you are watching the videos should be easy enough to get through. If you are very stretched for time, the code challenges have been created in such a manner that you can essentially copy and paste the code from your workspace into the challenge.
Also be aware that the quizzes, apart from a couple of exceptions, have only 5 multiple choice questions. Each quiz should take no more than a minute or two.
Even though it might be a frustration at the moment, perhaps it would be better just to smash through the challenges now to facilitate your progress at a later date.

1,437 PointsThis is actually correct. The Library is designed to be able to skip around in, but what we've found is that students are missing big chunks of knowledge this way. Tracks were created, and are constantly being iterated to give students the option to follow along a more guided, structured path. We think completing quizzes and code challenges as you're working through the content is the right way to reinforce what you're learning, and Tracks more strictly enforce that methodology.

That's not the use case Tracks feature was made for, however that's a perfect use of the Library feature.

> Using Tracks as a general curriculum guide, while helpful, is not ideal and I think what those students who want to go off track really want is actually functionality like a Playlist or Queue to forge their own path through Treehouse. So, we'll work on that!

1,876 PointsThanks Thomas. I will take your advice and go to the library with a search on the name of the course in the track that I am looking for.
