Correct output from code, not passing code challenge.

Challenge: Python Collections (Print challenge):

"OK, here's a...weird...set of tiles. I need you to loop through TILES and print out each item. Print each item on the same line unless the item is a double pipe (||). In that case, instead of printing the item, print a new line (\n). Use the end argument to print() to control whether things print on a new line or not."

Doing some digging, I know this is the incorrect output:

- - -
_|_|_|
& _
   ^

As I understand, my code produces the correct output (with the newlines):

- - -

_|_|_|

& _

   ^

Unless I am missing something? Perhaps an issue with the spaces/indentation?

mapping.py
TILES = ('-', ' ', '-', ' ', '-', '||',
         '_', '|', '_', '|', '_', '|', '||',
         '&', ' ', '_', ' ', '||',
         ' ', ' ', ' ', '^', ' ', '||'
)

for tile in TILES:
    if tile == "||":
        print("\n")
    else:
        print(tile, end = "")

Actually, the code challenge has been modified a little, so what you call incorrect is actually correct and the one you can correct is incorrect.

for tile in TILES:
    print(end="\n") if tile == '||' else print(end=tile)
# this works!
