Could use some help explaining how this is not calling the function

also tried onClick={this.startTimer.bind(this)}

I'm not sure, but I have two guesses:

  1. it might actually work but it's not accepted because it's not the method that was taught in the lesson
  2. it might not work because "this" is evaluated at different times than in the lesson method
