Could you test my app and provide me feedback?

Hello Treehouse Community,

I have made an app after 2 months of hard work and I would like you guys to try it out. Here is the link in Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=benyamephrem.tilt

It will only take a second for you to try it and I honestly think it is a really cool, interactive game. Make sure you leave a review or get back to me and tell me what you thought and how I could improve the app moving forward!

HOPE YOU LIKE IT!

Hi Benyam

The game is really good, great job. Only a couple of things from me.

I would suggest creating a bounce back feature so the ball can not leave the screen across the Y axis, and equally so the ball X position can't be less than 0. (possibly have the ball constantly sit in a boundary of say the middle 60% of the screen across the X axis?)

The ball is exactly the same colour as the gaps so it is possible to lose the game when the ball isn't visible to the user.I would suggest making the gaps slightly less opaque so the ball can be seen against/through the gap colour.

The score needs painting to the screen after all the other objects have so it remains visible at all times and doesn't disappear behind the bars (Unless you wanted that effect)

Minor niggles in all honesty.

Great stuff

Daniel

Ok I have fixed all those problems except the ball/gap color thing because I was kind of going for an effect where the ball should like merge with the rectangle...I think it looks cooler than having a the ball a darker color, but I'll keep messing around with it to try to do what you suggested.

Thank you so much!

Also, do you have any advice on acquiring users? After a week on the store I only have 49 active users and 71 total installs. Like 80% of my installs are people I physically told...

Again thanks for the advice!

Wow those changes were quick! getting new users to your game is hard . I don't think there is any hard and fast rule (At least none that I've ever heard of) all the code is there to share across social media. Just try and spread it yourself through social media, friends etc if people enjoy it enough they will do the hard work for you. There are of course advertising companies that will take care of everything and do this on your behalf if your willing to spend the money, no doubt they will contact you. I seem to get no end!
