Couldn't Treehouse accessibility compliance be improved by not autostarting videos as this course states?

I know I usually personally have to stop the video at every step because I read the Teacher's Notes first, before I feel ready to hear the content. So I have to stop the video and then start it again, rather than just start it when I am ready.

Hi Rick, thank you for pointing this out, and I agree with you that the videos should not be set to autostart by default. I'm always looking for ways to improve the accessibility of Treehouse's product, and I'll start investigating a way to make this improvement.

While I would prefer to not have autoplay on videos too, I don’t necessarily it is 100% a faux pas all the time.If a link promotes itself as ‘to play a video’ and the page itself is essentially a a shell for the video then autoplay can be classed as acceptable (YouTube is an exponent of this idea). I would still like an option to turn it off.
