JavaScript

Create a hamburger icon, drop down navigation for mobile devices that is triggered by javascript.

I still do not have a firm grasp on javascript. I would like to build a click-to-toggle dropdown navigation for mobile viewports using html, css and javascript. The only examples I can find use jquery. I have been told not to move on to jquery until I have a firm understanding of using javascript in my projects.

Can someone point me in the direction of a clear example on how to achieve this?

Hey Kent,

I feel that if you have at least a basic working knowledge of JavaScript, you're more than okay to start learning and using jQuery, as it is just a JavaScript Library. jQuery is the best way (in my opinion) to achieve what it is you are looking for, so I say go with jQuery.

Hope that helps. :) :dizzy:

Thank you Jason. I do plan on moving on to Jquery, but I won't be able to live with myself if I don't figure this out. I will be posting a follow-up question tomorrow with code. I'll ask you to take a look at it.
