create a similar method named isFullyCharged that checks to see if the current bar count is at the maximum charge.

task 1 no longer passes when I attempt to run the program in my code.

GoKart.java
class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
  private String color;
  private int barCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    this.color = color;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return color;
  }

  public void charge() {
    barCount = MAX_BARS;
  }
  public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
   if (barCount == 0) {
     return true;
  }
    else {
     return false;
  }
  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
   if (barcount == MAX_BARS) {
     return true;
      }
        else {
          return false;
        }
  }
}

Hi Harrison,

You pretty much have it, except for one syntax error and one typo.

  • The syntax error: You are missing the closing curly brace for the isBatteryEmpty() method.
  • The typo: In isFullyCharged you have a lower-cased 'c' in the barCount variable.

Fix those two things up and everything else is good! :)

Keep Coding. :dizzy:
