9,743 PointsCreating an Android Virtual Device
Hello,
I realized that when I first made an AVD it was set to Android 1.4 or something super old like that. I then deleted the AVD and have been trying to create a new one with 4.1 JellyBean. Every time I try to create a new AVD I get the following errors:
Error: Target location is not inside the SDK Failed to set image path properties in the AVD folder
I have been searching stackoverflow but have been unable to find a suitable answer. Any help would be appreciated!

Courses Plus Student 3,190 PointsActually, it looks like someone else on treehouse has had the same problem. Read through this forum post and see if that helps any.

Treehouse TeacherCan you check (and reply with) your path to your Android SDK within Eclipse? It's under Eclipse > Preferences > Android. It's a little confusing because you can have multiple versions of Eclipse and multiple versions of the Android SDK on your machine. If you can get your path from that then maybe we can help you troubleshoot further.

9,743 PointsHey Ben,
After meddling around and searching for ideas I realized that I hadn't come across anyone who had been having issues with the sdk on a mac. I then deleted the file, re-downloaded it, and ran the install script. Everything works perfectly now! I think my issue was that when I initially set it up I had read the sdk doc which told me to run an update command and it downloaded a whole bunch of versions of the sdk which somehow messed up my path. Thanks for responding though! I'm enjoying your course and look forward to more content!
