Creating an instance of the Player class with the for loop

In the last challenge of the RegExp titled "Players Dictionary and Class" were had to create a re.search and then name create a class. Our of curiousity would it be possible to create instances of the class by utilizing the for loop? Kind of like something below...

import re

string = '''Love, Kenneth: 20
Chalkley, Andrew: 25
McFarland, Dave: 10
Kesten, Joy: 22
Stewart Pinchback, Pinckney Benton: 18'''

players = re.compile(r'''
    (?P<last_name>[-\w ]+),\s
    (?P<first_name>[-\w ]+):\s
    (?P<score>[\d]+)
''', string, re.X|re.MULTILINE)

for match in players.finditer(string):
    return Player('last_name', 'first_name', 'score')

class Player:
    def __init__(self, last_name, first_name, score):
        self.last_name = last_name
        self.first_name = first_name
        self.score = score

I think this would work if you created a list, then added the instances to that list, then returned the list. That's how I would probably do it at least. I don't think it would work the way you have it set up right now, at least not if you want to be able to access those instances later.
