Creating functions in JavaScript

There are two methods of creating functions in JavaScript.

// One is,
var functionName = function (){};

// The other one is,
function functionName(){}

What is the difference between these two methods and why should I choose one over another?

Hi.

Check this link : StackOverflow .

This is a link that explains about your question with a bit more depth.

On short notice your first example is a declaration of a variable that stores an anonymous fuction into it.

Hope the link helps.

Regards.
