Creating the app

I didn't see any part of the video where the app was created. or if it was I'm unsure. I saw the install of the Sinatra Gem, the video then moved to using a text editor. Is this just a different method than creating a rails app? or is this just the overview and we go over the steps in detail in later videos? or was it just cut?

The structure of a Rails app is very complex, so Rails generates a directory and file structure for you. Sinatra, by contrast, is very simple- an app could be just a single file. So creating a Sinatra app can be as simple as creating a file in a text editor.
