Java Java Objects (Retired) Creating the MVP For Each Loop

Creating the MVP/ for each loop: code Challenge;

Please help. I am stuck I don't know where I am getting my code wrong,

public void getTileCount(char tile) { int count = 0; for (char tile: mHand.toCharArray()) { if(mHand.indexOf(tile) => 1) { count++; } }return count; }

ScrabblePlayer.java
public class ScrabblePlayer {
  private String mHand;

  public ScrabblePlayer() {
    mHand = "";
  }

  public String getHand() {
   return mHand;
  }

  public void addTile(char tile) {
    // Adds the tile to the hand of the player
    mHand += tile;
  }

  public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
   return mHand.indexOf(tile) > -1;
  }
   public void getTileCount(char tile) {
    int count = 0;
  for (char tile: mHand.toCharArray()) {
    if(mHand.indexOf(tile) => 1) {
     count++;
    }
  }return count;
  }
}

I would change the name of your temporary variable in your for loop to 'letter' or something instead of the argument that was passed in. I would then change this line: if(mHand.indexOf(tile) => 1)

to: if(letter == tile) count++;

Finally it worked out, Thanks to you Jeremy.

Thanks Jeremy Hill, i have tried what you suggested above, but I am now getting this error:

./ScrabblePlayer.java:26: error: incompatible types: unexpected return value } return count; ^ 1 error

That is because your return type needs to be 'int' not 'void' in your method heading.
