Credible Web Development Colleges

I am interested in getting a bachelor's degree in web development or something that can put me in the direction of designing websites and such. I am not in the industry, so I don't what colleges they tend to watch over. What colleges have solid programs that would set me up for success? Any suggestions would help.

From what I can gather from the interwebz if you can get into the CS program at Stanford, pretty much the only way to leave there without a job is if you are actively avoiding employment. They also have a very high number that get accepted to startup accelerator programs. I think I heard they leave with an undergrad degree making 70-80K a year. Granted they're also facing down a quarter million dollars in debt. But that's most traditional private colleges these days. UWM and UIUC are a couple of midwest schools that are supposed to be pretty good for computer science too. Also pricey, also hard to get into, though I doubt to the extent of Stanford.

Thanks, man. This little tid bit of information has helped me more than the research I've done by myself, haha. Thanks again.

If you're interested in Web Design, then you would probably be better served by studying graphic design rather than computer science.

I'm more interested in the HTML, CSS, Java, etc. portion than the aesthetic portion. I want to be a balanced web designer and developer, but I feel that the coding is more sought after.
