JavaScript AJAX Basics (retiring) AJAX and APIs Displaying the Photos

Cross Origin Request Blocked Error - how to resolve?

Followed steps, when sending ajax request error "Cross-Origin Request Blocked" is thrown with console suggesting that "CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ is missing."

I typically have gotten that before for 2 reasons.

  1. If you are requesting an "http://" instead of an "https://"

  2. If you are trying to pull something from another website that doesn't allow your jQuery/AJAX to pull the content.
