I just redid the quiz. The image file is "texture.png" not "bg-texture.png".

No problem, glad to help. I have been doing this for a while and I understand how frustrating it can be.

"no seriously I started writing things down"

Good I was just typing a post to say that very thing. For all of the lessons you should take notes, pause and rewatch the videos if necessary. You can also look up syntax on Mozilla Developer Network https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/.

I saw your last post as well, and while coding can be very difficult in the beginning as you practice it will become easier. Just remember syntax is VERY important. It will become more natural as you practice, in the beginning just always consult your notes, the lessons and MDN.

We're always here to help as well, but make sure you spent at least 10-15 minutes trying to figure it out so you can better understand why it isn't working. I have found this to be the best way to learn.

Good luck and welcome to Treehouse!

Which challenge/task is this exactly please?

Hey there,

It is Build a Basic Website, section is styling content, fonts and colour... this is the very last challenge in this code challenge.

If you figure it out, please let me know.

Hey Thanks everyone,

Drake, your the man! I cannot believe that I did not catch that! I am find this so easy, but I guess the stupid mistake I make it what is costing me time to actually get the right answers.

Everyone, sorry.... But seriously Thanks for the help!

What till the next section.. lol... no seriously I started writing things down.

The code Drake has is correct. Try restarting the quiz completely, maybe you changed some of the other code somewhere and the quiz is now failing.

Edit: I see you figured it out right as I posted my comment. Ignore what is said :)

Instead of using w3schools.com you should use a code playground like codepen.io or jsfiddle

I should note that W3Schools is not a reliable source of information and they are in no way affiliated with the W3C.

See W3Fools for more info.

Instead you should use these for your syntax reference needs:

That's good to know. Thanks James Barnett. I am always looking for reliable resources to help me to write my codes.

Thanks for that information James Barnett! I had absolutely no clue they weren't affiliated. I don't visit them a whole lot anyway, but it's nice to know that they may not be right all the time. Thanks!

First things which grabbed my attention were:

BackGROUND - careful of upper case usage there.

'url(img/bg-texture.png)' - use of ' Not sure you need those. Also ensure your path is correct.

background is all one property, so don't have a ; between the color code and the url part. Also, if you are using quotes around the url it goes inside the parenthesis.

background: #420600 url('img/bg-texture.png') repeat;

I am not using quotes around the parenthesis, I copy and pasted exactly what you put and still nothing, I do not understand what is wrong with this challenge,

background: #420600 url('img/bg-texture.png') repeat;

that is exactly what I am putting, and there is still nothing, I think there is something wrong with the service or something because I cannot see anything wrong with what I am doing.

When I am not too sure about my codes, I visit W3Schools.com very often to verify and test my codes.
