Hello out there, looking for current feedback on the IOS developer course. $199 vs $399 vs $599
I can see the difference between the $199 and $399 pricing, i.e. 1 on 1 mentoring and professional app review etc. but is the extra $199 on top of the $399 really worth having a tech degree?
I'm currently in the free trial mode with both Treehouse and Udacity IOS Nanodegree program and ready to pull the trigger on one or the other. Udacity has a job guarantee or 100% refund within 6 months after completing the course. Although there are many caveats to that agreement. And only 4 projects.
Treehouse is definitely superior so far in instructional content as far as I'm concerned! Let's just say it suits my learning style perfectly!
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
PS I'm actually surprised there is no thread here for that program.

827 PointsWell I kind of figured it out on my own, I switched my trial to the tech degree and was able to join the Slack channel and communicate some of my concerns in there.

827 PointsAlthough unless there are specific companies that hire Treehouse students with a specific tech degree, paying the extra $$ for the paper isn't really justified. Look at the Web Dev and IOS bootcamps, all they do is help you get a portfolio of projects completed based on what companies are supposedly looking for. Nobody asks what boot camp you attended, they will however ask you to write code to solve a specific problem etc. and they will look at the code in your projects.
