Python Dates and Times in Python (2014) Where on Earth do Timezones Make Sense? pytz Format

Dates and Times in Python :(

I am not sure what im doing wrong. Any advice?

pytzstring.py
import datetime
import pytz

fmt = '%m-%d %H:%M %Z%z'

pacific = pytz.timezone('US/Pacific')
starter = datetime.datetime(2015, 10, 21, 4, 29, tzinfo=pacific)

starter.strftime(fmt)

local = starter

Hey mar, try using the timezone's "localize" method on the unaware datetime object instead.
