Dates on Courses?

I just wanted to suggest that the date at which courses were created were put within the course. I always look for dates when I am researching, whether it is a blog post or a Stack Overflow forum. I think that adding dates would help students know whether or not they should research changes in that technology, or whether a particular technique is still best practice.

Thank you

Most of the stuff on TH is very basic...like you can still use the java/c# Track course in 2 years...also the javascript stuff will still be valid in the next years.

They dont really have to create update their coureses every year

Hi Nate,

It's definitely a topic that comes up pretty often, around here and the office. There are definitely pros and cons to both listing and not listing publish dates. We pack our production schedule full so that we're producing new content or updating old content. As Tobias mentioned, we don't want students who are new to coding second guessing a published course from 2013 solely because three years seems like a long time ago, but rather it's an old and stable language and the information is just as valid now as it was then. We appreciate your thoughts on it, however!

I understand where you're coming from. I did find a way to view the date where it isn't incredibly easy to find, so I think that will help me in certain situations.
