Dear Staff: Minor site issues

Hi, Thank you for reading.

Issue 1 (petty): I'm on the Ruby on Rails track. I finished two of the courses off-track They show as gray when I look at my track. Can you fix it so that the course icons show in color like the other completed courses?

Issue 2 (consider weaker eyes): There is not enough contrast with your light blue font that is used when starting a new forum discussion, in the transcripts, and in other places. Since I have low vision, I find it difficult to read. I'm sure I'm not the only one. For the transcripts, I wind up highlighting the text so that the contrast is greater, but it is annoying to have to do this. Could you please make your site more readable by changing the font color to something darker so that there is more contrast?

Please reply. Thanks!

I think this might be better received as an official suggestion to support:

Thought of something else.

Issue 3: The video controls bar-- it is too big, and it gets in the way

of reading the text in the video. Getting rid of it makes pausing the

video (to copy code) difficult. In the Build a Simple Rails Application

course, it was especially annoying.

Can you figure out a way to get the video controls bar entirely outside the

video (below the video screen area)? If not, can you make the width smaller

and mostly transparent?

(Aside) I like the text line width to be short when typing in the forum.

If I don't double space, the text wraps, even when on separate lines.

Using 3 backward ticks works, but that gives the appearance of a

code snippet. Is there a Markdown method to do a hard return

when typing?
