Declare a String variable named intAsString. Convert the randomNumber integer to a String value and store it in the intAsString variable. Hint: Use the toString() method of the Integer class.

this is what I put: Random randomGenerator = new Random() int randomNumber = randomGenerator.nextInt(10) intAsString = Integer.toString(randomNumber); //I put this line in... I think it is freaking out

you forgot the datatype of your intAsString variable. its a String.

Random randomGenerator;
randomGenerator = new Random();

int randomNumber = randomGenerator.nextInt(10);

String intAsString = Integer.toString(randomNumber);

also looks like you were missing a semicolon after the nextInt method call.
