2,106 PointsDefining game's function is throwing an error.
I've got both a test/customized version and a normal version made while following the video. The one I've made while following along has suddenly given me a syntax error referring to line 3, where I define the game's function. Could use a second set of eyes to see where my mistake happened. Testing along with the video was fine until we worked on the part I had been stuck on: having another else for playing the game again. I can't for the life of my see where I messed up.
import random
def (game):
# generate a random number between 1 an 10
secret_num = random.randint(1, 10)
guesses = []
while len(guesses) < 5:
try:
# get a number guess from the player
guess = int(input("Guess a number between 1 and 10: "))
except ValueError:
print("{} isn't a number!".format(guess))
else:
# compare guess to secret number
if guess == secret_num:
print("You got it! My number was {}".format(secret_num))
break
elif guess < secret_num:
print("My number is higher than {}".format(guess))
else:
print("My number is lower than {}".format(guess))
guesses.append(guess)
else:
print("You didn't get it! My number was {}".format(secret_num))
play_again = input("Do you want to play again? Y/n ")
if play_again.lower() != 'n':
game()
else:
print("Bye!")
game()

24,604 PointsHey nstooty,
I'm not seeing a name for your function.
Try:
def game():
Currently you're function is unnamed and you're setting game as a parameter.
