Devise Strong Parameters?

There are new requirements in Devise for including parameters accessible from the form in the view. I can't figure out how to make first_name, last_name, and profile_name editable in the database.

You can use this format to achieve your goal:

# app/controllers/application_controller.rb
class ApplicationController < ActionController::Base
  before_action :configure_permitted_parameters, if: :devise_controller?

  protected

  def configure_permitted_parameters
    devise_parameter_sanitizer.for(:sign_up) { |field| field.permit(:first_name, :last_name) }
  end
end
