Java Java Objects (Retired) Harnessing the Power of Objects Incrementing

did not get the answer

it show me error message "please call isFullyCharged()" and the code is....

public boolean isFullyCharged() { while(!isBatteryEmpty()) { mBarsCount++; } return mBarsCount == MAX_ENERGY_BARS; }

GoKart.java
public class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_ENERGY_BARS = 8;
  private String mColor;
  private int mBarsCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    mColor = color;
    mBarsCount = 0;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return mColor;
  }

  public void charge() {
    mBarsCount = MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
  }

  public boolean isBatteryEmpty()
  {
    return mBarsCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    while(!isBatteryEmpty())
    {
      mBarsCount++;
    }
    return mBarsCount == MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
  }

}

means you want to say that i have to make changes in charge()...

Thanks....

Yes you only change the charge() method. I believe originally it was set up to charge the battery to full instantly; they are now wanting you to change it to where it says if the battery is not fully charged then increment the mBarsCount until isFullyCharged returns true.

The isFullyCharged() method was ok how it was. It wants you to modify the charge() method to incorporate the isFullyCharged() helper method.

Like this:

public void charge() {
    while(!(isFullyCharged())){
     mBarsCount++;
    }
  }
