did't pass task one

i do the first task and it's work in the next task said to me look task one

Hi Pat,

It's easy to miss, but if you look closely the challenge task has a bit if light grey text that adds

Important: In each task of this code challenge, the code you write should be added to the code from the previous task.

Are you removing / replacing the code line from task one?

i.e. task two should look something like

String variableName = console.readLine("some appropriate string");
String variableName = console.readLine("some appropriate string");

Rather than a single line of code. Hope that helps,
