Display and edit the look of a website within an app

The title says it all, my work have a badly designed web portal for staff to use to book holidays, update details etc...

Is it possible to load a website inside an app then display it differently than it actually looks? (the site is mostly JS with HTML and CSS).

If so how would i go about this? im assuming it is possible since Ben Jakuben made a blog reader app that edited the look and feel of a blog.

Hi Gary,

What I could understand from the blog reader app though is that nothing did it change in the actual blog itself. As in its look and feel

The app uses JSON to fetch title of blog posts ..... lists it out on the MainActivity Intent and then when someone clicks on the title it takes him to the actual blog post. Ben did not apparently change the look and style of blog itself. It was simply a web view that displayed the blog from the web as it is.

However, I ain't no expert on the subject , yet :) ... but I have rarely seen someone change the look of the website through an app. There are of course however, a separate mobile version of many websites. Though I'm sure Ben Jakuben would be the right person to direct you in the correct way.

Wish you luck with it and do share if you find a solution to this.

Ah thats a bummer, but thanks for the info and help

Gunjeet gave a good answer...we're just loading a well-designed web page that already has responsive design built in to make it look good on a phone.

Technically, you could provide a custom stylesheet to try to update the look of the page. If your original page is designed poorly then I'm guessing this wouldn't work so well.
