2,871 PointsDo you still give support to IE7 and IE8 ??
Hello Do you still worry about how a webpage looks in Internet explorer 8- ??
Sometimes is difficult to keep using javascript hacks, extra files, etc. You have to set aside a lot of time to do testing. In some cases I just forget about the goodies of CSS3 or HTML5, and just keep using images, for shadows or transparencies, for example.
CSS3 looks great in modern browsers, but is disapponting when you try it in IE8-
Even the treehouse site, looks weird in IE8-
So what do you think??
thanks

Also there are tools such as http://modernizr.com/ which will attempt to detect which features are available on the browser and allow you to style accordingly.

Given IE7 is at about 0.5% of global market share I think it makes sense to drop support for it. On the other hand given IE8 has about 8.5% of global market share, it's very important for sites to gracefully degrade when viewed in IE8.

If the users are still using IE7 then you will need to accomodate this really.
A lot of businesses will have their staff machines locked down for example and wont have updated to newer versions of Windows or IE so here would be a case for supporting the older browsers.
