Does anyone think Andrew Chalkley's courses are really hard to follow?

I tried to take the jQuery Basics and JavaScript courses from Andrew Chalkley, I found it was difficult to learn from him. He doesn't explain why very often when he planning and building. And when he writing the code, most of the time he is murmuring, It makes me sleepy.

I don't have problem with any other instructors on Treehouse, most of them are very good teacher. Only him...

Rui, hi. Yes a number of people have a hard time following his courses. I will echo what Zak said that these are not easy concepts to learn. I will say that I have done some other j query courses and I think that these have a lot more information than some of the others. https://www.codecademy.com these courses are easier to follow but I don't think they get as in depth as Treehouse. I have switched between the two (when I get frustrated here) and codecadamy has a good free offering. (at least the last time I checked)

I've taken a lot of JavaScript courses and read a lot of books and courses, and I can tell you that it has a lot to do with JavaScript itself, especially if you're new to programming. Concretizing something so abstract is no easy task (I still have no idea what a Prototype object does), but I like how he mixes the difficult in with the easy. I find Andrew's teaching methods to be in the upper echelon of any of the courses I've taken, but hey: I'm just one person :) Not every teacher is going to resonate with every student.
