Does cat actually concatenate the files and store the copy somewhere or just print them all together on the screen ?

Please help me.

It does concatenate the files. cat file_a file_b concatenates them to standard output (the console). cat file_a file_b > file_c concatenates them into file_c. Try it with some simple text files.
