Does not let me input a name.

This is my input and error message.

Python 2.7.6 (default, Mar 22 2014, 22:59:56) [GCC 4.8.2] on linux2 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.

This is my code.

You'll need to use raw_input() instead of input() in Python 2.7.

Incidentally I had the same error yesterday (on a different project mind!) and a little bit of googling (please use that not just post everything on here!) made me see that

input() is a python 3 function not python 2!
