Does treehouse teach you how to build software?

Are there any tracks/courses that teach you how to build software on treehouse? I'm a beginner with no coding/programming experience and I'm interested in building software and apps. And it would be great if you could give me some tracks and advice on how to start with software development, but please know that I have no prior coding/programming experience. So I'll need something fit for me so that I don't get frustrated with something that may be a bit too advanced for me! Thanks!

Hi Luqman,

Almost every track here on Treehouse will teach you to build software. The tracks are also all built to suit beginners. The choice will come down to what kind of development you're interested in pursuing.

  • Do you want to build basic websites? Take the Web Design track.
  • Do you want to build more advanced websites or even basic web-apps? Take the Front-End Web Development track.
  • Do you want to build more robust web apps? Take one of the back-end tracks: Rails Development (possibly doing the Learn Ruby track first), PHP Development, or Python Development.
  • Do you want to build native mobile apps? Take the iOS or Android Development tracks (note you'll need a Mac for iOS development).

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Happy Coding!
