don't understand why this if statement won't work. Workspaces says I'm improperly using dot notation

Workspaces says I'm improperly using dot notation

object.js
const player1 = {
    name: 'Ashley',
    color: 'purple',
    isTurn: true,
    play: function(){
        // write code here.
      if(player1.isTurn === true){};
    };
};

player1 doesn't exists inside of the declaration of the object, replace player1 with this ONLY in the if statement and you'll be able to complete the challenge
