Editing HTML

Hi all,

I was wondering what is the best way to edit HTML after a website has gone live?

I will also suggest that you look into the Basic Git course. This will enable you to use version control which can save quite a few headaches in the future :)

You need access to the FTP/upload folder. I would download a copy and edit it in Dreamweaver/Sublime text/Any Text editor on my computer and then re-upload it when it's done.

Thank you!

No problem. Remember to save a copy that you know works. This is just in case everything goes south.

Agree with Mark for minor changes, upgrades etc. Copying the site to a local server, editing and testing before uploading is ideal for major revisions.

Is that on team treehouse?

Yes you can find it here: Git Basics
