elseif vs. switch?

To me this seems like a perfect situation to use a switch statement. Is there an advantage to using an elseif instead of a switch in this case?

Hi Eric,

You could probably change to a switch statement here in this particular case and I think it would result in a little less typing.

One advantage I can think of to keeping it as if statements is if the logic changed and it became a little more complicated. If it's already an if/else if then you might only need to add some additional checks using the logical operators.

Whereas, if it's a switch then you would need to change the whole thing back in addition to adding the additional logic.
