Courses Plus Student 614 PointsI have the same problem. Cut and paste old embed code directly into the HTML file. Open in the browser. Nothing shows. Is it possible that Flash security settings affect this? I have a similar issue with Adobe Captivate 7. Youtube embedded video do not show when previewing projects and must be loaded onto a server to see the results. The problem here was the Flash security setting so I wonder if it's the same (I'm on a Mac running Mavericks).

Courses Plus Student 614 PointsJust add http: to the beginning of each url in the code. Worked for me.

Courses Plus Student 7,917 PointsThis worked! I was having the same problem, but when I added the http: to both links in the embed code, it worked! Thanks so much!

Courses Plus Student 614 PointsNo prob. From what I understand, if your code were actually on a server, you would not need this.

Courses Plus Student 7,917 PointsThat's what I read, too, so I decided to just move on to the next section. But knowing that I couldn't test my results without uploading it to a server first was bugging me. I'm glad they have these forums. It felt weird moving on without knowing another way to make that element work. Ah, closure! :)

12,855 Pointsyeah same here im running mavericks too, thanks for the tip, ive tried everything. ill see if that works. i also thought it had something to do with Adobe flash as well. I have the treehouse HTML5 book and it says that you can get firefoxconverter which will convert videos (especially youtube) to blu-ray quality seemed pretty cool i haven't tried it yet.
once again thanks ill see if that works
