Error casting to design view

Hi,

I get the error "Exception raised during rendering: android.support.v7.widget.AppCompatEditText cannot be cast to android.view.ViewGroup"

I actually fixed this by downloading the project files and matching up the code. I think the problem was that I updated to a new version of Android Studio in the middle of the project, and it ended up mis-matching a couple of tags.
