Error geting the remaining character

public int getRemainingCharacterCount(){ return MAX_CHARS-getText().toCharArray().length; }

doesnt work at all and I dont know why says is wrong

If I'm not mistaking you could just do

  public int getRemainingCharacterCount(){
    return MAX_CHARS - text.length();
  }

and this should work if I am correct.
