HTML Build a Blog with Jekyll and GitHub Pages Getting Started with Jekyll Installing Jekyll

ERROR INSTALLING JEKYLL PLEASE HELP!!!!!

In my Terminal I input: sudo gem install jekyll and this is the error message I got

mkmf.rb can't find header files for ruby at /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/2.0/usr/lib/ruby/include/ruby.h

Gem files will remain installed in /Library/Ruby/Gems/2.0.0/gems/yajl-ruby-1.2.1 for inspection. Results logged to /Library/Ruby/Gems/2.0.0/gems/yajl-ruby-1.2.1/ext/yajl/gem_make.out thomass-mbp-2:~ TJB$ sudo apt-get install ruby-dev sudo: apt-get: command not found thomass-mbp-2:~ TJB$

Looks like you need to install ruby-dev first. You tried that but got command not found for apt-get?

What operating system are you running?

That's why apt-get, which is a Linux package manager, isn't working for you.

Try installing Xcode from the App Store.

Beyond that, you may need to enable Command Line Tools by installing them from in Xcode under Preferences > Downloads > Components.

Let me know if that works for you.
