8,350 PointsError: method dispense() is already defined in class PezDispenser public boolean dispense(){ 1 error
I am working on the Pez Dispenser exercise for the Java course and have run into a problem. I cant get my Pez Dispenser to work with due to the error listed in the question title above.
Here is Example.java:
public class Example {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("We are making a new Pez Dispenser.");
PezDispenser dispenser = new PezDispenser("Donatello");
System.out.printf("The dispenser character is %s\n", dispenser.getCharacterName());
if (dispenser.isEmpty()) {
System.out.println("It is currently empty");
}
System.out.println("Loading...");
dispenser.load();
if (!dispenser.isEmpty()){
System.out.println("It is no longer empty");
}
while (dispenser.dispense()) {
System.out.println("Chomp!");
}
if (dispenser.isEmpty()) {
System.out.println("Ate all the PEZ!");
}
dispenser.load(4);
dispenser.load(2);
while (dispenser.dispense()) {
System.out.println("Chomp!");
}
}
}
And here is PezDispener.java:
public class PezDispenser {
public static final int MAX_PEZ = 12;
private String mCharacterName = "Yoda";
private int mPezCount;
public PezDispenser(String characterName){
mCharacterName = characterName;
mPezCount=0;
}
public boolean dispense(){
boolean wasDispensed = false;
if (!isEmpty()){
mPezCount--;
wasDispensed = true;
}
return wasDispensed;
}
public boolean dispense(){
boolean wasDispensed = false;
if (!isEmpty()) {
mPezCount--;
wasDispensed = true;
}
return wasDispensed;
}
public boolean isEmpty(){
return mPezCount == 0;
}
public void load(int pezAmount){
mPezCount += pezAmount;
}
public void load(){
load(MAX_PEZ);
}
public String getCharacterName(){
return mCharacterName;
}
}

4,007 PointsHi ,
I don't know if you're still working on this. But the problem maybe because you've added the section from the first "while" down.
Hope this helps.
