Error on getStringExtra

I am trying to get data from the intent, but my code doesn´t work. I get error on getStringExtra. What can be my mistake?

FlightActivity.java
import android.os.Bundle;

public class FlightActivity extends AppCompatActivity {

    public int fuelLevel = 0;

    @Override
    protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.activity_flight);

        // Add your code below!
         Intent intent = getIntent();
      String FUEL_LEVEL = intent.getStringExtra("-1");

    }
}

Read in the document and try to use getIntExtra() for this case example: Intent intent = getIntent(); fuelLevel = intent.getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL",-1);
