Hey William, at first I couldn't figure out where you were going wrong but I believe you are using backticks instead of apostrophes. The answer should accept either

$('#footer');

or

$("#footer");

Hey Dylan, thank you! I was doing the challenge from my phone. For some reason, it wouldn't accept either until I reloaded the page.

Check your quotes. The second one will pass:

$(’#footer’);
$('#footer');
