Python Python Basics (2015) Number Game App Even or Odd

even_odd function

Challenge Task 1 of 1

This one should be short and sweet. Write a function named even_odd that takes a single argument, a number. return True if the number is even, or False if the number is odd. You can use % 2 to find out the remainder when dividing a number by 2. Even numbers won't have a remainder....

PS: i'm a bit sure all that is missing is defining the 'even' or 'odd' numbers; I just can't recollect how to do it and fit into the eve_odd function. See my code below. Thanks

even.py
def even_odd(number):
    if number == even:
        return True
    elif number == odd:
        return False

Here's the solution

def even_odd(number):
    if number % 2 == 0:
        return True
    else:
        return False

get the remainder when divided by two, and if its 0 its even!
